Through the fire and the military moves, I was the anchor. I chose my children, surviving the shadows of a love that was both a dream and a heartache. Now, the house is quiet, but my spirit is loud. An Indigenous woman reclaiming her story in a new state, living for herself for the very first time. No longer just a protector or a wife I am the author of a chapter where the only roommates are my dogs and the only mission is peace.
